Sahago deserts presents a ochrer sand tone, and the presence of Balck mounds (known as Ulen Al), with tan rocks.
As Iceberg tips, the Ulen Al dots Sahago deserts landscape in black, extending beneath the sand in veins of several hundred meters or square kilometers, although on the surface do not usually exceed 100 meters high and 5 square miles. Also there are small outcrops of centimeters in height and square meters and scattered rocks and boulders.

Erosion affects Ulen Al fragmenting giving them their characteristic rectangular silhouette.

The impermeability of the Balck produces underground water reservoirs, allowing the presence of small oasis, some scattered bushes, palms and trees.
